Eritrea's Non-Resident Ambassador to Oman Bids Farewell to Officials there

Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud al-Busaidi, the Secretary General of the Foreign Ministry, met with Mohammed Omar Mahmoud, Eritrea's non-resident ambassador to Oman, to bid him farewell after ending his tenure as non-resident ambassador.

During the meeting, the two sides held cordial conversations and affirmed on the existing good relations between the Sultanate and Eritrea, as well as keenness of both sides in promoting them.

The Eritrean government says the change in ambassadors of late is part ongoing restructuring and reorganization process within the government and PFDJ institutions to ensure political dynamism and effective management.

In a meeting with 150 regional administrators and party members in Embatkala earlier in September, President Isaias Afwerki said that restructuring and assignments will continue at all levels of administrations, ministries, PFDJ bodies and national associations.

  1. if any one know....what happens to their families?, for example their children's in some cases have spent about 15 years in a country... then what happens to them when their parents are reassigned?... i mean do they still have the right to remain in the country if they choose? ... i mean that would be unfair if they have to follow them around ... or do they have an eritrean diplomatic family passport or something?

  2. That's a good question. I'll try to ask an Eritrean ambassador about that later today.
