11th YPFDJ Euro Conference in Germany 2nd– 6th April 2015

The Young People’s Front for Democracy & Justice (YPFDJ) - an Eritrean youth organisation in the diaspora - will be holding its annual conference from 2nd– 6th of April 2015 in Germany. This conference which is going to be the 11th consecutive Annual Conference will be attended by 650 participants from YPFDJ chapters around the world.

The conference aims to involve Eritrean youth activists who are serving their communities and nation in different capacities. Also, several community leaders and organisation representatives will be participating in the conference which will be addressing pertinent topics that affects the Eritrean youth inside and outside the country.

The youth conference which is unique of its kind and nature has attracted thousands of active youth members over the years and created a vibrant youth forum which critically analyse the myriad issues facing in the daily lives of Eritrean youth in the diaspora and the homeland; and organise themselves to change their environment for a better future.

The main topics of the 11th YPFDJ Euro Conference this year are:

• Building the Nation and Fighting Human Trafficking
• YPFDJ Organisational Consolidation
• Current Political Affairs
• Evaluation of activities and future plans

All preparations are underway to start the three day intensive discussions, lectures, engagements with Eritrean leaders and papers from participants. Proceedings of the YPFDJ conference will be communicated by the organising committee in due course through various social-media and other media outlets.

This year YPFDJ will also celebrate 10 years Anniversary since it was formed officially in 2005. It was ten years of fortitude, steadfastness and consciousness that allowed the organisation to face a difficult period of psychological and material onslaught on Eritrea’s sovereignty and continues to stand with great pride, resilience and valuable experience to face the next 10 years.
