  4. It's important to invest in areas that will generate good money immediately and use that money to expand further on other sectors. Africa's main problems are always investing in sectors that do not generate money right away, and in the meantime they spend so much money in areas that makes the regimes look good, but have very little benefit for the people or projects with no potential to generate a return. Train tracks are important for Eritrea as a country, but would those little cars going to last twenty years from now? Wouldn't it be better to upgrade the size of tracks and the capacities of the trains to be purchased? It seems the Eritrean regime is going for the 1940s level of need with the little trains.

  5. I would think they are going to be built in a way that will be sustainable given the comment

Expanding its railroad facilities may entail upgrading the size of the track and the comment above mentions increasing the capacities of the train. We don't know the details behind the project but it obvious will ease the flow of goods moving from one end of the country to the next. This will be a benefit to all and is only a step forward and not backward as you may think.

  6. I know money is very tight, but I say give Asmara a face lift ASAP. The historical buildings are rotting away and it's breaking my heart, and it would be a difficult task to restore them once they get worse. Asmara is more than just a capital city, the historical buildings are one of the best tourism potential and will help Eritrea to generate a huge income. I'm actually trying to come up with the idea of raising money for that purpose and I don't know where to start though? I'm 24 years old and grow up in Europe, so I don't have that much information as where to begin and whom to contact...
