Western Government Delegations Found The Reality in Eritrea to be Positive

Government delegations from Denmark, the United Kingdom and Norway (current) have visited Eritrea in the past few weeks for extensive talks.

These missions occurred in the wake of similar undertakings by UN Regional Offices as well as the International Organisation of Migration.

The various delegations have met with government bodies, other independent stakeholders, and, the diplomatic community in the country.

All these missions have, by and large, found the reality in Eritrea positive & promising both at the level of government policies & practice.

In the event, Human Rights Watch & a motley group of Eritrea's detractors have gone berserk to denigrate the various mission reports/findings.

To them, Eritrea must be seen through their biased & malicious prism only. Any other narrative is "flawed that must be discredited any cost".

To this end, they have unleashed a futile campaign to dissuade the EU from "changing (sic) its policy on Eritrea". How silly & condescending!
