Construction of the 20 million cubic meter Tekera Dam is in full swing, according to a recent video uploaded to a social media site.
When completed, the dam will supply water to Asmara.
Since independence, Eritrea has built more than 300 agriculture and water reservoir dams to ensure food security and alleviate potable water shortages.
