Asmara Airport Resumes Service After Yemenia Plane Incident
After landing safely at Asmara International Airport, Yemenia Airbus A330-200, registration 7O-ADP, veered off the runway resulting in damage that disabled the aircraft.
The plane was attempting turn around at the end of the runway when the nose and left landing gear went off the paved surface.
Asmara Airport was closed as result until early Thursday, when the aircraft was repaired and removed from the runway.
The plane has since returned to Yemen and has commenced service.
