Construction of a Cold Store Near Alebu is 60% Complete

Construction of a cold store near the town of Alebu is 60% complete, the Ministry of Information disclosed.

The joint venture project is being constructed by the local Musa Ali Construction Company and the Chinese Company Sefeco Group.

When completed, the cold store will have the capacity to stockpile around 2,000 tones of agricultural products such as fish, meat and vegetables.

Plans to construct similar projects in Massawa and Adi-Guaedad are slated for the near future, the ministry reported.

Well, Tsebelom aylkeyena. I don't have more to say about them. About Eritrea, there is a lot to say. Have you seen the roads in Asmara? Seen the buildings in Asmara? Seen the Airport? Seen the smokey environment in the city? Seen the hopelessness of the people?
Lets focus on our problems and try to solve it instead comparing ourselves to Ethiopia or Sudan.

    Happy Easter!

  8. The buildings in Ethiopia that are being built are ugly, cheap and are a safety hazard. You can build a lot more shiny buildings if they are ugly and of low quality, which is what Ethiopia is doing. Ethiopia is banking on quantity, while Eritrea is focusing on quality.

Just look at these new condominiums being built in Addis Ababa. They look like cardboard boxes painted over in bland communist colors.

Just out of curiousity, can you mention som negative things about the TPLF?

Dont use the classic "i dont want to waste time on ethiopia - i only want to focus on eritrea" line.

Seriously , tell me some bad things about ethiopia and i will tell you some bad things about the PFDJ...

  12. Since you are asking
They have divided Ethiopia in to ethics so every ethnic not to trust the other ethnic. ( divide and conquer)
They have illegally sold the land for pennies to Indiana and Arabs.
They have widened the gap between the haves and not haves.
They control every big institution by putting people from their ethnic group.

I guess this is enough to describe TPLF.

  14. Economist don't compare a tiny country(Eritrea) with Ethiopia. b/c Eritrea is like one state in Ethiopia. for example the above article for cold store construction project is a big news for Eritirea where as for Ethiopia like this project looks like nothing. The main project in ethiopia is building huge dams( like generating 6000MW, 1800MW electric power...) , many sugar factory, over 2000 rail way projects, and huge infrastructure projects. so Economist don't blame Ethiopia for your tiny country lack development.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Every news has its merit it might be true that in Ethiopia this is not considered as a news but we are not in Ethiopia further more there are no 2000 rail way projects in Ethiopia there are projects like Djibouti - Ethiopia, light rail in Addis a few more which I can't remember that is it the rest they might be on paper but definitely not on the ground. The question is can Ethiopia keep up with the maintenance and loans of this projects?

    Erena,
I'm not here 24/7 comparing Eritrean infrastructure with Ethiopia or Eritrean BNP with Ethiopian. So my friend you are replying to a wrong person. I just answerd to the best I can to the question I been asked by Moloko. In case you are sleeping, let me wake you up by asking you to go and read Tesfa News, Dehai who are obsessed with Ethiopian internal issues. As I said before I don't care how TPLF rules Ethiopia and it is not my concern, but as a person who follows international events, I happen to read about Ethiopia, Sudan Somalia.... I also have Ethiopian friends who frequently travel to Ethiopia so I am updated with what's going on.
But as Eritrean, I never traveld to Ethiopia and I have no intention to do that to, because I have nothing that links me there.
About my Eritreanism you asked- please please, I am more Eritrean than the person who is in charge of Eritrean Gold aka Hagos Kisha. Go and ask him if he has Eritrean blood in him.
    You feel me?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Intentionally or not you did miss the whole point here.

Let me break it down and make it easy for you. "Moloko" asked you a simple question:

'Just out of curiousity, can you mention som negative things about the TPLF?"

You did listed some stuff (which could be true or not). And guess what? out of your list one critical and a defining thing was missing. As an Eritrean, one would expect you to see it with the perspective of an Eritrean. Or, at least, you should have started your list with the well known, proved thing of woyanie "their aggression on Eritrea - not abiding by the ruling" (Because that affects Eritrea. Your Eritrea, remember?)

I also placed some king of a question "If you are an Eritrean, concerned about Eritrea...."

There are few possible answers for that:

    1) You could be an Eritrean, who is concerned about Eritrea (Meaning you have the Barden of convincing people here why you chose to ignore Woyanie's aggression on Eritrea and why you seem to have a ridiculous and opposing stand, any time all the time, and on any issue )

    2) You could be an Eritrean, who is not CONSERNED about Eritrea at all. Meaning your stand is a true reflection of your "I am not concerned" attitude. You are an Eritrean, BUT....
    3) You are not an Eritrean, but you have a concern for Eritrea or to any human being in this world some how. The problem here is, your concern is misplaces or wrong
    4) It could also mean, you are not an Eritrean.and worst still, the only concern you have is how to oppose object, disqualify any thing Eritrean, for some personal reason or some internal demon that you have to satisfy...
Judging from your rant above, it looks like you understand the question to mean the last two, and answered likewise. As for me, my question has more to do with " if you claim to be concerned about Eritrea, how the hell would you miss the obvious"
    Feel me?

    - You could be

    Where is the Cruz...
But the biggest point you are missing here is this:
The only reason Eritreans are mentioning Ethiopia one way or the other is because the freaking Woyanie is violating out Eritrea. Is very simple, to understand it, really. They are violating or sovereign land. They are holding our nation hostage. They are putting us in this no war no peace situation with the sole purpose of destroying us and our nation. With the sole purpose of rendering Eritrea as a failed state. Worst of all they want to accomplish that by making Eritreans fight each other, by choking the government and the nation so much so that, they believe in the long run, the Eritrean people with suffer and reach a breaking point to rise up against their government and against each other - with the end result of dismantling Eritrean in to parts, with end result of a brake away afar (Assab included) - easy target, easy to swallow.
Again, no body wants to talk about the freaking Ethiopia or woyanie, except Woyanie is making us do that
And if you are an Eritrean, concerned about Eritrea, you should have known this...
    Feel me?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Private investors it seems are only interested in the export-import industry which doesn't really help the nation's growth. Investors are not really interested in these types of projects so the government has to step in. Now if there are private investors interested, put your money up. Sadly too many Eritreans are talkers but never follow through with action.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I don't have any issue with most of your comments except at one point you do contradict yourself "Private investors it seems are only interested in the export-import.." the project itself is orientated to wards export that is cold storage for fish,vegetables,fruits...

  22. Where Is Z CruiseApril 22, 2014 at 5:14 AM

Well sir, you have no idea how many Eritreans tried to establish small manufacturing businesses but got screwed by the Government. Go and ask how ASBECO started his business and how he lost it to the government. This is what the government does in Eritrea. It is run but green eyes individuals. Hassadat, buddatat, tsbuk nay seb zeydelyu, tsbuk nay seb zeyehogusom.

How in the hell would you put your money in this condition???

    ReplyDelete
  23. "...How in the hell badme issue could hijack the whole nation..."

And you couldn't find answer to your question in the first paragraph (which you said you "Could" agree)? amazing! You suffer from some kind of learning disability or what?
Or may be you are a guy with only one track of mind? I think that should be it. You see, your brain is already set up (Could be due to blind hate, vendetta, grudge, or perhaps due to the fact that you have some personal beef which is clouding your judgment) programmed or something to always go hunting for something bad of Eritrea and the Eritrean government, all the time and always. And your brain is in some kind of prison, or controlled by something outside your control, which always drive you to interpreted any thing to mean something bad about Eritrea and its government. Because of that, you have a tendency to side step a huge and very curtail fact and dismiss it as something tiny and immaterial. That is what you just did right now. The first paragraph, that you said you "Could" agree, is a huge thing that perhaps gives answer to all the questions you have inside your head, which are bothering you and driving you nuts.
Try to wash your brain and start fresh - and handle each issue case by case. That way you will:
    - Learn to arrange and handle things according to priority and according to their weight.
    - Learn to contribute for the common good, instead of focusing on your personal issues only, and end up working against the common good
    - Be able to have the luxury to be happy when you see or hear good things about your country and your government. Be productive.
    - Be a person with a positive attitude
    etc. etc etc...
By the way, what happened to all the questions presented to you form other commenters and from me? do you always kangaroo jump them?
And what the hell "Could agree" mean? what is with the "Could"?

    ReplyDelete
  24. I agree but sadly what most of these investors typically do is more import than export. They think bringing in useless goods from Dubai and then turning around to sell it to customers at inflated prices is a boost to the nation. These types of businesses are bound to fail especially when operating in a nation with a lack of hard currency.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Where Is Z CruiseApril 22, 2014 at 4:19 PM

Could means - if you come with a valid reason or a reason based on truth and logical, then I agree with you. But since you are conditioned to think in one way (HIGDEF way), I don't expect any logical reasoning will come out from you.
Again, how could BADME issue hold hijack the whole nation?
Is it the government doesn't have plan B or C? Or is it the government doesn't want the issue will solve so they will use this excuse to stay in power?
How could they couldn't be able to see the exodus of our people? Or is it that they want it for some unknown reason? Couldn't the government reform even though the border issue is not settled?
My friend, since the government deliberately dumbed you down & doped you up, you are living in black and white area. For you to come into the gray area zone, your brain needs to be re-wired.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I see your point but whether the business is a success or failure it should not be the concern of the government it should be left to the investors risk appetite.... Regarding the hard currency yes there is shortage and the government has only two solutions either it controls it or let it into the market ,unfortunately the former encourages black market.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Oh boy! you are simply hopeless.

Ok, let us try again: Do you agree or don't with :

"They are violating or sovereign land. They are holding our nation hostage. They are putting us in this no war no peace situation with the sole purpose of destroying us and our nation. With the sole purpose of rendering Eritrea as a failed state. Worst of all they want to accomplish that by making Eritreans fight each other, by choking the government and the nation so much so that, they believe in the long run, the Eritrean people with suffer and reach a breaking point to rise up against their government and against each other - with the end result of dismantling Eritrean in to parts, with end result of a brake away afar (Assab included) - easy target, easy to swallow."

Since you have not come with something that could convince me to agree with you- I DON’T AGREE with your mambo jambo.
You see you have created an imaginary fear. It is like when you walk in a dark and you thinking about ghosts, what would happen?? Fear.
All this crap you are mumbling is nonsense.
You said – They are violating our sovereign land.
I am saying – Our government let them to violate it with its arrogance and stupidity.
You said – They are putting us in no war and no peace situation
I am saying – Our government used this opportunity to oppress us, holdup the constitution and refused to reform.
You said - ……. Eritrea as failed nation
I am saying – stupidity and arrogance of the government is the cause of us on becoming a failed state. The government throw itself out of IGAD, didn’t use diplomatic means to maintain relationship with western countries. Now remember I’m not saying we should be their puppets, I am saying play an active diplomatic role without throwing yourself out or isolating yourself. ( read the latest interview of Putin with his people about what he said on diplomatic relationship. He said in short, we are not going to isolate ourselves from the world)
You said – Eritrean people with suffer and reach a break point to rise up against their government
I am saying – we have been doing the same against them too by harboring DEMHIT, OLF, opening TV channels in Amharic, Oromina…and remember there are 40,000 DEMHIT soldiers inside our country.
NOW who is hopless and clueless??

    ReplyDelete
  29. Nice! That is what I thought so. Now we know what your problem is. And handling you is simply easy. You see, treating you like an "Eritrean concerned about Eritrea" is basically a mistake (It really doesn't matter if you are Eritrean by birth or something else - your heart is not Eritrean, so for all intent and purposes, we will treat you as such). Now let us do some random observation on the above rant (with out wasting time to go in details)

    - Random observation 1:

You absolutely do not have any thing bad to say about Woyanie on the above matter, despite Woyanie is refusing to abide by the ruling.

    - Random observation 2:

You don't seem to have absolutely no respect for the rule of law. Otherwise, you would have realized that you don't have to love the Eritrean government to realize it is on the right side of justice. You don't have to be an Eritrean to say "justice is justice, the court ruled, woyanie should get out" because the court ruled and any one con not and should not break the law

    Random observation 3:

A strong attachment to Ethiopia and an acute tendency to defend Ethiopia's interest. You see, all the rants about DMHIT, and what not you listed above, regardless haw crappy it is, is basically thrown everywhere to defend or to protect Ethiopia's stand.

Like I said, you are either standing and defending your country (Ethiopia) and your government (The Woyanie), or you are an Eritrean with a MESSED UP PRIORITY, confused identity, messed up brain. In short a useless and hopeless individual when it comes to Eritrea. Simply useless.

    Random observation 4:

ummmm, I think I should use some kind of an analogy here, because I see some retarded-ness in you. (You are retarded, right?).

Let us say you have a very trusting enough daughter who left the door unlocked, because she is trusting and always sees the good in people. And let us say your evil neighbor knows this very well and comes to your house at night and rapes your daughter. Now, here is the question, what, you, as a father do or say? Do you:

    1. Work hard to bring that evil to justice? or

    2. Beat the crap out of your daughter, because she left the door unlocked? Do you let that evil neighbor get free, because he found the door unlocked, so raping your daughter is her fault and not his?

See where I am going here, Mr.Retarded? This is what you said above"

"I am saying – Our government let them to violate it [Eritrean sovereignty] with its arrogance and stupidity"
    See the analogy?
Nah, who am I kidding! you are useless and hopeless after all

    ReplyDelete
  30. Really Gustimation....The reason for lack of development in Eritrea is because your government chose to focus on quality. If you believe that, then I have a bridge to sell you.

    random observation 1
Why would I waste my time saying bad about Woyane when my government is worse than Woyane?
Yes Woyane is refusing to abide by the ruling to Melles outsmarted Issayas by his diplomatic skills. Issayas was acting like a street thug instead of engaging in diplomatic relations with the world. I am not again saying we drop our self reliance policies and compromising our norms and cultures of independency.

    Random observation 2
Are you talking about me or about the government in Eritrea who do not have respect of law? I didn't people in to underground prisons without trial. Tell that to Issayas.

    Random observation 3
Don't even need to answer it. It is just mambo jamboo. If you have doubt about my Eritreanism then let me break it down to you. I am a full blooded Eritrean, one side from Mendefera and my other side from Mekerka. I am born in Asmara.
I never have confused identity because I know my family tree and my origin. We have centuries of family history in Eritrea.

    Random observation 4

Why did you left the 3rd option purposely ??

When you come with that option, then I will answer you.

As I told you before, your brain needs to be re wired and I can do the job for free.
Last but not least, better to be retarded than brain dead.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Wey seb dekey! Minia Kolele, Inkilalo.......

    1. You said enough bad stuff about the Eritrean government (Assuming it is your government). Day in and day out. It is the Woyanie (Probably your government, at heart), who is violating Eritrean sovereignty, who you are shying away from saying anything against. That is creepy

    2. If you can not see Woyanie is violating the rule of law by not abiding by the EEBC (Border ruling), then you have some big issue with the rule of law. Now, focus ok? we are talking about your woyanie, ok?

    3. Right? so you are from Mendefera? ummmm, yea right! who is going to believe that. Tray again.

But, in all seriousness, you seem to have a problem in reading what is written or you have a limited capacity brain preventing you from understanding what is written. Here, let me repeat what I wrote on my last comment, regarding your identity :

"Like I said, you are either standing and defending your country (Ethiopia) and your government (The Woyanie), or you are an Eritrean with a MESSED UP PRIORITY, confused identity, messed up brain. In short a useless and hopeless individual when it comes to Eritrea. Simply useless..."

Meaning, if you really are an Eritrean (ok, ok, you are from Mendefera..) then you MUST be

"..an Eritrean with a MESSED UP PRIORITY, confused identity, messed up brain. In short a useless and hopeless individual when it comes to Eritrea. Simply useless..."

Meaning, it doesn't matter whether you are an Eritrean or Ethiopian, you are an already messed up individual, who for some reason have a STRONG attachment to Ethiopia and Woyanie....

    4. But you already chose the second option (moron!), when you said this :

"I am saying – Our government let them to violate it [Eritrean sovereignty] with its arrogance and stupidity"
What you are saying is, you are not going to blame Woyanie for violating Eritrea, but you are a chicken shit enough to blame the Eritrean government (Ferah nediu yiatwa...yiblu abotatna).
You know what? I am kind of done dealing with a moron and an individual with a retarded mind (Your own admission). There is absolutely nothing productive or positive that you can bring to Eritrea or its people.
This is going to be your the last comment for you. Sorry, but you are too tiny for me
