Development updates in Eritrea
Construction of a new Senafe hospital has been completed, according to local officials. Costing over $3.5 million dollars to build, the hospital will provide curative, diagnostic, and surgical services to patients from the Southern Region of Eritrea. Prior to this hospital, locals would have needed to travel to Adi-Keih to obtain proper medical services due to the previous Senafe hospital being deliberately destroyed by invading Ethiopian troops.

The Kohaito-Foro road project is a strategic route that connects the Southern and Northern Red Sea regions of Eritrea. Taking nearly 2 years to build, it consists of 115 km (71.4 miles) of unpaved road that twists and turns through some of Eritrea's largest mountainsides and deep ravines. In its second phase of development, the road will be covered in asphalt and will be expanded in certain areas that have gained heavier traffic.
