Development updates in Eritrea

Construction of a new Senafe hospital has been completed, according to local officials. Costing over $3.5 million dollars to build, the hospital will provide curative, diagnostic, and surgical services to patients from the Southern Region of Eritrea. Prior to this hospital, locals would have needed to travel to Adi-Keih to obtain proper medical services due to the previous Senafe hospital being deliberately destroyed by invading Ethiopian troops.

The Kohaito-Foro road project is a strategic route that connects the Southern and Northern Red Sea regions of Eritrea. Taking nearly 2 years to build, it consists of 115 km (71.4 miles) of unpaved road that twists and turns through some of Eritrea's largest mountainsides and deep ravines. In its second phase of development, the road will be covered in asphalt and will be expanded in certain areas that have gained heavier traffic.

A total of 750 apartment buildings are being constructed just outside of Asmara's northwestern city limits. Construction of these buildings started in early 2009 and is expected to completed by 2013. 1. This sure is a good development for Eritrea. How much is for a 2b/2b unit in Asmara and Massawa?

  2. I too want to know how much a 3 bedroom, 2 bath house in Asmara, Keren and Massawa cost. I assume Asmara will be more expensive, so if anyone can give the exact figures, i'd very much appreciate it.

  3. Offtopic:

    I cannot over emphasize on how Eri-centric this site is, obviously an Eritrean site but is it really necessary to project bias and selective news stories? Why sugarcoat everything that is posted?

    I wouldn't be surprised if the site its self was runned by Isais's men.

  4. To jegnawit;

    Judging by your last sentence there I'm assuming you do not like Isayas. And therefor I will also assume that you will consider anything that showscases what a great government he's running to be biased aswell, simply because you do not believe that is the case (or you have your own selfish reasons for not liking him and what he's doing). Either way It's hard to take you seriously for critizing this site when it has never lied in it's post's in the past (has there ever been any misinformation in their article's they always make sure to correct it and inform us about it at the very top of the article once the mistake has been discovered) and it is mainly here to help let eritreans in the diaspora know about all the developments and progress that is being made in Eritrea. How is this biased? Is it wrong in your mind to dedicate a site for these purposes? And if so, why?

  5. I just emailed the admin(s) to delete Jegnawit's latest nasty and unwarranted comment. Who does this person think he is to come here and insult people who do not think like him? To anonymous, you have to understand that every Eritrean website is being bombarded with Ethiopians of the Tigray ethnic group and this Jegnawit character, who struggles to even spell Isaias' name properly, is one of them. You're better off emailing the owner to delete their comments than responding to their verbal diarrhea. LMAO @ Eri-centric! I hear Hollywood is Movie-Centric as well genius!

It is so irrelevant to ask ur question!! It is amazing that your hate injected propoganda towards the Jigna leader who is getting away from any loans to keep Eri free!!

    Thank you for keeping Eri deveoping!! Love you Eritreans all over the world.!! Esp. those who love Eri progress!! God blesss the builders of those Apartments and the hospital!!
