Construction of Senafe Hospital Nearing Completion

Construction of Senafe Hospital Nearing Completion

May 2, 2011 (ERITREA) –  Construction work on a new hospital in Senafe is nearing finalization, state media reports. Costing nearly 3 million dollars to build, the new hospital will relieve local inhabitants from traveling to Adi-Keih to gain medical service.

Contract for developing this project was awarded to the Segen Construction Company; which has given a steady job opportunity to dozens of local inhabitants. When completed, the hospital is expected to accommodate and treat thousands of citizens annually from the greater Senafe Sub-Zone.

It is to be noted, Senafe's last hospital was completely destroyed during Ethiopia's invasion in 2000.

Funding: Eritrean Government
Contractor:  Segen Construction Company
Completion date: End of July to early August.

  1. How far is the hospital from the town center? Much information is required on the location and the population it is slated to serve. It looks like it is way out of sight from looking at the pictures, may be you can add more info.

  2. It's about a quarter of a mile from Senafe's city-center.

  3. Senafe all day! Respect to the GOV for their de-centralization policy towards Eritrea! Every region in Eritrea is equally being developed, which is a far cry from other African states; where they invest all their money on their capitals and ignore their countryside; which houses the majority of their population!

  4. Developing regional Eritrea is good first of all it is a social justice to those who doesn't live in the big cities who were marginalized for decades and our cities will be less crowded.
MAY ALLAH GIVE US THE WISDOM ALWAYS...
