Mebrahtu Pens New Czech Deal

Former A-League striker Golgol Mebrahtu has signed a one-year contract extension with Czech club Mlada Boleslav.

The 27-year-old ex-Western Sydney, Melbourne Heart and Gold Coast United man enjoyed a blistering start to the 2017-18 season in the Czech top flight.

Mebrahtu has netted nine goals in 16 appearances in all competitions, sitting equal fourth in the Czech league scoring charts.

The Sudan-born attacker had joined Mlada Boleslav on a two-year deal in 2016 and told FourFourTwo in November he was unsure about his options beyond the 2017-18 season.

However, Mebrahtu has re-committed to the Czech club who were the domestic cup winners two seasons ago.
