Stefano Moscatelli is the new Italian ambassador to Eritrea.

According to a statement from the Foreign Ministry, the appointment was recently approved by the Council of Ministers and was decided on after having received the consent of the government concerned.

Stefano Moscatelli was born in Rome in 1962. After earning a degree in Political Science at the University of Rome, he joined the Foreign Service in 1991 and started his professional career at the Foreign Ministry at the Directorate General for Political Affairs.
