Eritrea's Michael Habtom won 3rd stage of Tour du Faso
The Eritrean Michael Habtom won the third stage of the 28th edition of the Tour du Faso in 3'19''46. He was followed by his compatriots Mekseb Debesay and Yonatan Haile. Eritrea is expected as one of the favorites this year.
The yellow jersey remains, however, with the Moroccan, Mouhssine Lahsaini. Meanwhile, Abdoul Aziz Nikièma won the pink jersey of intermediate sprints.
This stage was run between Kombissiri and Kaya, a long axis of 143 km. The fourth stage will be held Monday, November 2 between Ouagadougou and Koudougou.
The 2015 edition of the Tour du Faso is placed under tight security because of threats from jihadists.
