  3. He is a good role model not just to Eritreans but to all young people around the world. He is a portrait of discipline, perseverance and hard work. He embodies the best Eritrean qualities We are proud of him.
Having said that, as an Eritrean-American athlete who has succeeded and achieved world-wide fame, I hope he is interested in improving Eritrean-American relations. He received a phone call from President Obama following his Boston Marathon win. I hope he befriends the president and gets to talk to him what the truth is regarding Eritrea and the region as well as the undemarcated border.
Congrats again, Meb! And best wishes!
