President Isaias Arrives in Kenya for Jamhuri Day Celebrations
President Isaias Afwerki arrived in Nairobi today to take part in Kenya's 50th independence anniversary celebrations.
The president will meet with Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta ahead of the festivities tomorrow to discuss bilateral relations.
Eritrea's participation in Kenya's celebrations is a continuation of the country's active regional and African engagement, an official said.
The celebrations, known locally as Jamhuri ("republic") Day, is expected to have 20 heads of state in attendance.
