Eritrean Flags Fly High in Iraq

A young Eritrean soldier by the name of Aron Tsegai, who is part of the United States military, plants two of Eritrea's flags in war-torn and dangerous Iraq to pay tribute to Eritrean martyrs of independence and those that continue to lay their lives in defense of its sovereignty.

  3. To the two posters above me. The Eritrean flags were placed by an Eritrean in Iraq to honor Eritrean martyrs. He is a soldier for the United States military, therefore, he's just paying respect to fellow martyrs of Eritrea that came before him. There's nothing confusing about this picture.

  19. Aron it is brave of you to do that. America is not exactly respecting eritrea and those who have died defending our country. The war that went on and on in our country is cos of lack of justice from americas side. I never knew we had a brother in the american army. Well aron hawna you are our brother and we love you. May god bless you and protect you.

  20. He would be jigna wedi jigna if he was defending his country but
He is not there to defend he is as invader with the war criminal Gorge Bush.
He is bringing shame to Eritrea ,the Eritrean flag only should fly in the building of Eritrean embassy shame shame.
The Iraqi people who one day helped the Eritrean Refugees and
One day they gave us weapons to defend our selves from the Ethiopian invaders, another they gave our youth education.
After knowing all this do the Iraqi people deserve this from us ???
Shame on us shame on us!!!!!
