I have lived half my life in Africa, the other half in Europe and the Western world, therefore have been able to witness both sides of the coin. From this, I have always known that the West pushes/forces Africa to make decisions which are certainly not in their own best interests, but rather the West's selfish interests. The West's main concern and reason for their ire, is that Eritrea is setting 'a bad example' by proving to the rest of Africa and the third world, what can be achieved through good old fashioned honest hard work, sacrifice and self determination; rather then begging for tiny handouts which come from your very own largely exploited (i.e. stolen) resources! God bless Eritrea and here's to your success!Kuntajanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-774364245587719244.post-86197718197327057762011-07-18T05:32:38.931-07:002011-07-18T05:32:38.931-07:00VIVA ERITREA!! What benefit will bring to peace loving people anywhere in the world? From what I know several thousands U.S. Service men lived and worked in Eritrea from 1940s to 1970s. Did Eritrean spit on the and shout at them 'Yanki Go Home! or killed the and draged their bodies in the streets of Asmara? Contrary to that Eritrean youth shined their shose and med their beds etc.Why treat them worst than their enemies. U.S. help Somali leaders with millions to buy arms and kill each other! Eritrean asked for fairness from U.S. and it is sad U.S. government can not find an ounce of fairness in their foreign policy. Perhaps we Eritrean should loby those thousands who served at Kagnew station and many who were born there and lived, studied in Eritrea to put across the plight of the Eritrean people. I am sure there are many ignorant officials in the State Department who are singing one song 'Eritrea the Spoiler' and not the becon of hope for Africa as observed by the late Secretary of State Warren Christopher.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-774364245587719244.post-269936649893526422011-07-03T14:58:50.375-07:002011-07-03T14:58:50.375-07:00^^^ Answer to above Anonym

Too bad those who followed him in his post could not see what he saw in Eritrea people and leadership in 1993. They are stuck with IGAD slogan “Eritrea the Spoiler” and push for U.N. Sanction against peaceful Eritrea. If they want to accuse Eritrea as ‘Spoiler of the region’, it has spoiled the culture of corruption, begging and constant divisions of African people by their leaders and endless fighting among their citizens based on tribe religion etc.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-774364245587719244.post-58137651220181179342011-06-28T02:30:04.861-07:002011-06-28T02:30:04.861-07:00Eritrea's faith is God decided, it was meant t...Eritrea's faith is God decided, it was meant to be. We needed such leader to fight imperialists, and to introduce our region to a new American intervention free era. I'm very happy for living in this era, It'll be such a wonderful thing to experience. Also my compassion goes to all Americans, they have done nothing wrong themselves. But the fall of that impire is also good for them. Finnaly their governement can stay focused on its people's needs, improvement etc. It's good for all, and for the Eritrean people who need a long-sought break from others illwill. To finnaly live a peaceful, harmonious, prosperous, and well derserved and invested life. In memory of our martyrs and our suffering for a life in justice. Production of 10 million tonnes per year means $5 billion in exports per year at today's prices and perhaps more given that commodity prices are on the rise. That by itself is $1000 per capita for a population of 5 million. By comparison, Kenya one of the strongest economies in Africa has exports of about $5 billion (though its population is over 40 million) while Ethiopia had exports of about $1.7 billion (and population of about 85 million).Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-774364245587719244.post-56334462035550138122011-06-23T17:28:35.807-07:002011-06-23T17:28:35.807-07:00with the good record against coraption by the gove...with the good record against coraption by the government of Eritrea, this should enhance the standard of living of the people greatly for decades to come. mike, Atlanta, USAAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-774364245587719244.post-56043351535546888562011-06-22T10:30:18.996-07:002011-06-22T10:30:18.996-07:00This is very good news for Eritrea and its people....This is very good news for Eritrea and its people. One thing that must be taken care of is that are we training people that can take the jobb appertunities that is going to created in Eritrea. The rapid devlopment and growth will reqier from the goverment to preper the youth for the chalenges a head.

Let Allah bless Eritrea and its PeopleAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
